Bustling working atmosphere recorded at construction sites of Da Nang key projects

Over recent days after the freshly-concluded Lunar New Year 2022 (Tet) break, the construction sites of Da Nang key projects have seen busy, bustling working atmosphere as workers have been racing against time to speed up the deployment tempo.

‘Hustle and bustle’ on the construction site

At the construction site of the traffic infrastructure project at the western end of the Tran Thi Ly Bridge, one of the Da Nang key projects, many groups of workers are implementing the already-set work schedule with great excitement on duty.

Through his interview with Da Nang Newspaper reporters, a pavement construction worker said that, after the long-day Tet holiday, when returning to the construction site, everyone like him was eager to come back to work.

Not far away, a team of construction workers from the Nhat Huy Construction and Trading Co., Ltd based in Phuoc Ninh Ward, Hai Chau District were rushing into work with eagerness.

This company’s workers are in charge of installing underground cables and lighting equipment at this large-scale project.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc, the Team Leader, said, given the fact that the majority of construction workers are from Da Nang and neighbouring Quang Nam Province, right after the Tet break, all of the members in his team have returned to work in a prompt fashion.

For the time being, all guys are exerting every effort to quickly complete their assigned tasks and ensure the progress and quality of the project as well.

Meanwhile, at the construction site of an overpass as part of the West Ring Road 2 project in Hoa Lien Commune, Hoa Vang District, hundreds of workers, technical experts, and supervisors and consultants are deeply indulged in their assigned tasks with a high sense of responsibility and determination to keep on-scheduled progress.

The Western Ring Road No.2 project with a length of 14.3 km passing through Hoa Vang, Lien Chieu and Cam Le districts belongs to a large-scale Da Nang transport infrastructure improvement project,

The project is getting underway from 2020 - 2022 with a total investment capital of over US$ 61.37 million, of which US$ 45 million is loaned by OFID ( the OPEC Fund for International Development), whilst about 16.37 million US$ comes from Viet Nam’s reciprocal capital allocated through the Da Nang budget.

This project consists of 2 components, namely the Western Ring Road No.2 and a road associated with a bridge over the Co Co River.

ll date, about 43% of the workload on the project has been completed and it is expected to be completed before June 30, 2022.

Efforts exerted to speed up construction progress

Work has resumed at the construction site of Phase 1 of the Da Nang Software Park No. 2 project located in Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District.

This is a key project of great significance to the city in attracting investment flows into the local information technology (IT) industry.

As reported by Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Deputy Director of the Management Board of Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Projects, the developer of this project, the complicated development of COVID-19, especially during the city’s stay-at-home mandate applied to all of the local population last year hindered the project’s construction progress.

However, the consortium of contractors and supervision consultants have made every effort and concentrated all resources to ensure the on-scheduled completion of the bidding packages as committed.

Immediately after the Tet break, a team of engineers and workers have been fully present at the construction site, stirring an enthusiastic working atmosphere. Many groups of workers and specialised vehicles have lined up in a row to complete the construction work.

Da Nang government-funded 800 billion VND Da Nang Software Park No 2 project, which facades onto Nhu Nguyet Street, Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District, is also progressing well.

The project will comprise office buildings covering a with a total gross internal floor area of more than 71,000m2.

All construction units are striving to implement the project within 690 days starting from the signature date of the construction contract.

Some key construction segments of this project are slated to be put into use before 31 August, 2022.
