Stable labour sources after Tet

About 95% of workers at the Daiwa Vietnam Co., Ltd based in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Lien Chieu District, returned to work on February 9 after the Tet holiday.

Nguyen Thi Ly from Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Khanh Bac Ward said she and her co-workers felt quite comfortable and excited as returning to work because this year’s Tet holiday was longer than usual. Besides, they received spiritual encouragement and lucky money from leaders of her company and the company’s Trade Union on the first working day after Tet.

About 3,800 workers of the company have returned to work since February 7.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, the Director of the Daiwa Vietnam Co., Ltd, said “Recent years have witnessed a significant decrease in the number of company workers leaving work after Tet. The main reason is thought to be that the company gave spiritual and material encouragement to its workers ahead of Tet.

Most notably, the company offered Tet bonuses equal to 1.5-month's salary, and ensured that the salary and bonus regime was always full and on time.

A number of employees, who are confirmed COVID-19 patients or primary close contacts, or have yet to return to Da Nang due to their hometowns far from Da Nang, are expected to be fully back to work on February 10.

“The company has taken the initiative to recruit about 300 workers from early January in order to meet the demand of production. The company targets to increase its revenue in 2022 by 30% compared to 2021 ", added Mr. Phu.

Mr. Nguyen Vu Khoa Nguyen, Head of Human Resources Department of the Fujikura Automotive Vietnam Co., Ltd. based in the Hoa Cam Industrial Park in Cam Le District, informed that the rate of workers back to work after the Tet holiday was 90% with nearly 2,500 out of 2,700 workers.

Although there are not many changes in workforce after Tet, the company has planned to recruit new workers to be proactive in completing orders signed with partners in 2022.

Similarly, the Sinaran Vietnam Co., Ltd based in the Da Nang Industrial Park in Son Tra District has witnessed 96% of its total workers returning to work because most of the company’s workers are from Da Nang and Quang Nam Province. The company plans to recruit more workers this year to meet the surge of orders.
