Mrs Nguyen Hoai Ny, residing in Hai Chau District’s Hai Chau 1 Ward, said that she took her friends from Ho Chi Minh City to the Marble Mountains Tourist Area on the special occasion of Lunar New Year.

She highly appreciated the tourist site’s pandemic prevention and control work and felt secure when visiting there with her family.

According to the Authority of the Marble Mountains Tourist Area, from February 1 - 6 (the 1st to the 6th days of the Lunar New Year 2022), the special national-level relic site welcomed a combined total of nearly 9,000 visitors, up 20% against the same period last year. The majority of visitors to the tourist site were domestic tourists.

About 50 people are assigned to staff at the tourist spot every day to support visitors in case of need.

Head of the Authority Nguyen Van Hien remarked a surge in the number of visitors to the special national-level relic site in the first days of the new lunar year showed a good sign for the city’s tourism industry. The Authority has always done their utmost to make a good impression on visitors. In 2022, the tourist site will continue to perform well its tasks to attract more tourists to the city.

Similarly, thanks to the favourable weather conditions, the Bach Dang spring flower street, photo exhibitions along the both banks of the Han Rivers, tourist beaches, and other tourist sites citywide, attracted a large number of visitors during the Tet holiday.

In addition, a number of cultural and entertainment activities were organised throughout Tet to satisfy people's entertainment needs.

Specifically, a 'Happy Lunar New Year of the Tiger' experience programme is taking place at the Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts, 78 Le Duan Street, until February 10 with numerous exciting activities.

Visitors to the museum can check-in and take souvenir photos at a decoration space for Tet 2022. Additionally, people have the opportunity to learn about woodblock printing under the guidance of museum painters, colour pictures of tiger, decorate and write Tet cards, and take souvenir photos at the space of 'Being a painter'.

Meanwhile, the city’s Culture and Movie Centre organised a musical programme featuring delightful performances of folk songs, traditional Vietnamese musical instruments, and ‘bai choi’, on the northern side of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge in Son Tra District.

Visiting the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum on February 2 (the second day of Tet), Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tuyen from Son Tra District’s Man Thai Ward expressed her impression on the museum’s  eye-catching and beautiful Tet decoration space. She and her family members together experienced woodblock printing under the guidance of museum painters.

“I'm afraid to go to crowded places due to the complicated developments of COVID-19. At the museum, we had a lot of memorable moments and beautiful souvenir photos. Hopefully, in 2022, the museum will have more creative and meaningful activities to attract more people” added she.

In addition to the aforementioned tourist destinations, the ‘Me Au Co’ (Mother Au Co) sculpture placed at the East Sea Park, the Son Tra Peninsula and the Linh Ung Pagoda in Son Tra District, were very attractive to many people during the Tet holiday.
