According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the total number of tourist arrivals in Da Nang during the 9-day Tet holiday break is estimated at 35,939, up 16.71% against 2021.

This year, a number of tourism events, products and services have been launched to serve the demand of visitors to the city, including floral displays and lighting decorations, installation of 'check-in' venues, and photo exhibitions along the both banks of the Han River, Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourism beaches.

Most notably, the municipal Department of Tourism live streamed the spring travel atmosphere at the Bach Dang spring flower street, some 'check-in' venues, arts performances, and promotion and discount programmes in the city during the Tet.

About 25,500 out of the total 35,939 visitors to Da Nang on this special holiday were domestic tourists. They stayed at seaside resorts and visited some of the city's popular tourist attractions such as the Marble Mountains Tourist Area, the Mikazuki Water Park, and the Son Tra Peninsula.

During Tet, city-based travel agencies have mainly launched some intra-regional tours (city tour, Da Nang - Quang Nam, Da Nang - Hue - Quang Nam), staycation tours at 5-star hotels and resorts with good prices in Da Nang, and Quang Nam Province's Hoi An City.

From January 29 to February 6, Da Nang is expected to receive about 404 domestic flights. Particularly on February 1, 2022 (the first day of Tet), 226 tourists on a Vietjet flight from Ho Chi Minh City landed in Da Nang, becoming the first guests of the central coastal city’s tourism sector in the new lunar year.
