In her perspectives, Director of the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade Le Thi Kim Phuong affirmed that the tourism and trade sectors have a reciprocal relationship and support each other. When infrastructure and commercial goods develop, more tourism products are created.

In 2022, the Department of Industry and Trade will carry out a number of tasks aimed at promoting tourism development such as the creation of attractive new tourist attractions and the programme to promote Da Nang's product brand in the 2022 – 2025 period.

In his point of view, Director of the Department of Construction Phung Phu Phong said that a number of large and influential tourism projects are being implemented in a prompt yet effective manner.
In particular, the Asia Park project is expected to renovate itself into new large-scale tourism product in the city centre.

There have been specific directions on the development of the Lang Van integrated resort and entertainment area and Nam O eco-tourism area.

Currently, the Department of Construction is coordinating with other relevant agencies to soon deploy these two projects to diversify the city’s tourism product collection.

Meanwhile, the Signify Vietnam Company under the Dutch multinational conglomerate corporation Philips Electronics NV has just completed a design for the Han River art lighting project themed ‘River of Light’.

Under this much-awaited project, bridges, the two banks and the surface of the Han River, an iconic Da Nang beauty, are set to glow at night.

This project is expected to help create an attractive nighttime tourism product for the city in order to increase tourist numbers and enhance the spiritual lives of local residents, hereby significantly contributing to driving the city’s economic tourism.

At this time, the restoration of tourism development is a must-do, but the COVID-19prevention and control needs to be given a special heed.

According to Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Health Tran Thanh Thuy, in order to serve the socio-economic opening and especially the tourism industry, Da Nang will change measures to prevent further COVID-19 spread.

Accordingly, the local authorities do not restrict the movement of people and no ban is imposed on the operation of tourist service establishments such as karaoke and bars. Instead of that, the municipal administration assigns the grassroots authorities to take appropriate pandemic prevention and control solutions whilst  opening these services.

In addition, in order to facilitate the reception of international guests, the Department of Health will continue to accelerate the vaccination progress and thoroughly immunize the tourism workforce.
Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association Cao Tri Dung said that his agency is about to announce four key product groups to stimulate travel demand.

The product groups focus on deeply reducing prices, increasing service quality, and enhancing the convenient experience for visitors.

It is known that the Tourism Association is also preparing to organise the ‘Spring Talk’, which will feature discussions on tourism restoration solutions so that this ‘non-smoke lucrative industry will make a strong rebound in the time to come.
