According to the Da Nang Statistics Bureau, the total wholesales of goods across the city is expected to have reached VND12,900 billion in March, up 2.8% compared to the previous month.

As accumulated in the first quarter of 2022, the total wholesales of goods is likely to be estimated at VND38,100 billion, an increase of 8.2% over the same period last year.

In particular, a number of commodity groups achieved the highest sales revenues such as garments, cultural and educational items, petroleum products, etc.

On the other hand, the total retail sales of consumer goods in March 2022 is predicted to have generated VND 5,328 billion, up 4.9% against February and up 8.1% over the same period last year.

As accumulated in the January-March period, the total retail sales of consumer goods and services is likely to be estimated at VND 15,767 billion, a rise of 3.63% against the same period last year.

In detail, 7 out of the 11 commodity groups achieved positive growth whilst the remaining 4 recorded a decrease in revenue compared to the same period last year.

Thanks to the fully resumption of tourism activities in the city in March, the revenue of accommodation and catering services is expected to be estimated at VND 1,028.4 billion, an increase of 8.5% compared to the previous month and 73.0% compared to the same period of 2021.

In the first quarter of the year, accommodation and catering services is expected to have generated VND2,952.8 billion, equaling 71% compared to the same period in 2021. In which, the revenue of accommodation services is likely to have hit VND412.4 billion, equaling 62.5% of the figure recorded in the same period last year, whilst that of food and beverage services is likely to have reached VND2,240.3 billion, equaling 74.2% of the same period.
