The annual event is organised by the Informa Routes Company alternately in major Asian cities.

This year’s event is expected to attract around 500 delegates who are representatives of airlines, travel companies and media agencies globally.

The international event will open up a big opportunity for Da Nang to rise to fame as an attractive destination for tourists and investors from both home and abroad, thereby driving the growth for the aviation and tourism industries of the city, and the country as a whole.

Hosting Routes Asia 2022 in June will offer great opportunities for Da Nang to resume international flights, which in turn spurring international trade and resuming post-pandemic international tourism.

Routes Asia 2022 will feature a total 19 major and support activities and events.

Of this, the Informa Routes Company will organise such activities as an Asian tourism and aviation exhibition which will feature 30-35 booths from 110 international airlines, 200 airports, and 30 travel agencies; meetings between airlines, airports and tourism authorities from across the Asia Pacific region using On-site Meeting System or through the Routes event app; a conference on aviation recovery in Asia; and a workshop on ways to develop aviation services in the new normal.

Meanwhile, Da Nang will be in charge of conducting marketing campaigns to enhance the reputation and attractiveness of the international event and Da Nang as well, and preparing for a booth to introduce the city’s tourism potentials, tourism products, aviation infrastructure, and others to visitors at the Asian tourism and aviation exhibition.

The focus will be on conducting surveys on attractions, tourism products and services in the central coastal city such as Marble Mountains Tourist Area, and Sun World Ba Na Hills.

Additionally, the city will host a forum entitled ‘Da Nang - A Potential Destination in Asia’ with the aim to promote the city's potentials and its favourable investment environment for delegates, as well as a city tour for participants.
