2 Da Nang cooperatives among Viet Nam's typical ones in 2021
The Da Nang Cooperative Union on Tuesday held a celebration for the Viet Nam Cooperative Day (April 11), summed up the patriotic emulation movement of the cooperative bloc in 2021 and declared key tasks for 2022 as well.

Over the past year, cooperatives throughout the city have exerted great efforts to overcome difficulties triggered by COVID-19, maintain production and business activities, and make significant changes to their operations.
Currently, the city houses 135 cooperatives and unions of cooperatives operating with a total charter capital of over VND345 billion, attracting 9,463 members, creating jobs for 14,893 workers.
In addition, the city is home to 274 cooperative groups with a total business capital of more than VND40 billion, total asset value of nearly VND46.5 billion, consisting 2,159 members and creating stable jobs for more than 4,500 employees.
The cooperative groups have operated relatively effectively, especially the those operating at sea, which have contributed to protecting the Fatherland’s sovereignty over the sea and islands.
The cooperatives have attached production and business activities to the effective implementation of the '5 No's, 3 Yes's' and 'City of 4 Safe Programmes' campaigns and joining the city fight against COVID-19.
In 2022, local cooperatives will continue to effectively deploy emulation movements launched by the municipal People's Committee and the Viet Nam Cooperative Union, especially those that promote the city’s collective economic development and the building of new-styled rural areas.
On this occasion, the Da Nang Cooperative Union awarded certificates of merit from the President of the Viet Nam Cooperative Union to the Tuy Loan Organic Vegetable Production and Consumption Service Cooperative and the Hoa Cuong General Trading and Production Cooperative, both of which have made their way into a list of 100 typical cooperatives in Viet Nam in 2021.
Likewise, Mr. Bui Dung, Chairman of the Board of Directors cum Director of the Tuy Loan Cooperative and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Huy, the Deputy Director of the O Long General Services Cooperative also received such certificates of merit in recognition for their excellent achievements in 2021.
Certificates of merit from the Da Nang city Cooperative Union were also given out nine collectives and two individuals in the city for successfully completing the assigned tasks last year.
