Many IPs and ICs to be developed

Many IPs and ICs are expected to be developed in Hoa Vang District, including Hoa Ninh IP, Hoa Nhon IP, Hoa Cam IP at the second stage, Supporting IP serving the Da Nang Hi-tech Park, Hoa Nhon IC, Hoa Son split stone village IC, logistics centre, expanded logistics centre, and a warehouse south of the Da Nang Port.

Among them, Supporting IP serving the Da Nang Hi-tech Park, Hoa Nhon IC, and Hoa Son split stone village IC are on track to be developed.

Following Resolution No. 07-NQ/TU dated July 7, 2021 on construction and development of Hoa Vang District by 2030, with a vision to 2045, the locality strives to develop 2-3 ICs by 2025, and 4-5 ICs by 2030.

Mr. Ngo Ngoc Truc, Deputy Head of the Economic and Infrastructure Office under Hoa Vang District People's Committee, said that 90% of the site clearance for the 247,522m2 Hoa Nhon IC has been completed.

Most recently, the Hoa Vang District authorities have proposed two options for expanding the Hoa Nhon IC to neighbouring areas.

Specifically, under the first option, the Hoa Nhon IC will be expanded with an area of 62.14ha to the northwest. This option, if implemented, will solve the long-standing problem related to abandoned agricultural land and the relocation of some households out of a polluted environment due to the mining activities of enterprises.

According to the second option, the Hoa Nhon IC will be expanded to the southeast with a total area of 62.14ha. This location is convenient in term of compensation, but the technical infrastructure development work will require major investment capital.

“Finally, the district authorities have chosen the first option. At present, the municipal Department of Industry and Trade is finalising the working regulations of the evaluation council and the set of criteria for selecting investors to build technical infrastructure at the soon-to-be-expanded Hoa Nhon IC", Mr. Truc said.

Meanwhile, about 40% of the workload on the second stage of the Cam Le IC project has been finished. And the construction progress of the project is expected to be completed in 2022.

The site clearance for the Hoa Nhon IC project is undertaken in order to call for investment.

According to Mrs. Le Thi Kim Phuong, Director of the municipal Department of Industry and Trade, her unit is advising the municipal People's Committee to issue a set of criteria for evaluation and selection of technical infrastructure investors.

Once issued, the set of criteria will be used to attract and select infrastructure investors for ICs.

“Moreover, the Department continues to advise the municipal People's Committee to develop and implement a management, operation and selection plan for secondary investors to arrange businesses to operate in the Cam Le IC project” added Mrs. Phuong.
