More passenger trains to run over forthcoming public holiday of April 30 and May 1
The Viet Nam Railways Corporation (VNR) announced on Thursday that it will add more passenger trains on all routes, especially from Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi to other provinces and cities nationwide, in order to meet the greater demand of the public over the forthcoming public holidays for Reunification Day (April 30) and Labour Day (May 1).
Specifically, VNR will run additional 30 trains from Ha Noi to Lao Cai, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Dong Hoi, Hue, Da Nang and Hai Phong, and vice versa from April 22 to May 4.
A pair of SP3/SP4 trains will run on the Ha Noi-Lao Cai route; TH1/TH2 trains on the Ha Noi-Thanh Hoa route; NA1/NA2, NA3/NA4, NA7/NA8, SE35/SE36, NA9 and NA12 trains on the Ha Noi-Vinh route; QB1/QB2 and QB3/QB4 trains on the Ha Noi - Dong Hoi route; SE17/SE18 trains on the Ha Noi-Hue route; SE19/SE20 trains on the Ha Noi-Da Nang route; and HP1/HP2, LP2/LP3, LP5/LP6 and LP7/LP8 trains on the Ha Noi-Hai Phong route.
In Southern Viet Nam, VNR plans to operate additional 17 trains from HCMC to Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Da Nang and vice versa.
In particular, pairs of SPT1/SPT2, SPT3/SPT4 will serve the HCMC - Phan Thiet route, whilst pairs of SNT1/SNT2, SNT3/SNT4, SNT5/SNT6, SNT7/SNT8 and SNT10 will operate between HCMC and Nha Trang.
VNR will daily operate a pair of SQN1/SQN2 passenger trains on the HCMC - Quy Nhon route, and a pair of SE21/SE22 trains on the Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang route.
