Routes Asia 2022 expected to open up huge opportunities for Da Nang's aviation and tourism
Representatives from 110 airlines, 200 airports and 30 travel firms, along with more than 500 delegates around the world, have registered to join Routes Asia 2022 scheduled for June 4-9 in Da Nang.

Golden opportunity to connect and promote investment attraction in aviation and logistics
In his remarks at the reception on April 2 for a group of visitors from the Informa Routes Company - the organiser of the Routes Asia 2022, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Phuoc Son expressed his hope that the event would be held successfully in Da Nang, thereby contributing to opening up a big opportunity for the city to promote its images to foreign countries around the world as well as to boost cooperative ties with aviation firms globally in the coming time.
Vice Chairman Son hoped that the soon-to-be-organised event will help Da Nang discuss cooperation and development opportunities in the fields of aviation and logistics with many airlines, airports, tourism firms and businesses in the region and around the world.
He added that his city has set up an organising board consisting of representatives of relevant departments and agencies to prepare for this big event.
Mr. Son urged the Informa Routes Company to update information about Da Nang and participants on the Routes Asia 2022 website and international media channels, as well as help the city conduct marketing campaigns to advertise the international event and Da Nang-hosted support events as well.
At the meeting, a representative from the Informa Routes Company highly appreciated the city’s accommodation infrastructure and venues chosen for the organisation of Routes Asia 2022 after a 4-day survey in the city.
The company representative asked for support the city to create very favourable conditions for the company in terms of travel, accommodation and security during their stay in Da Nang in preparation for the forthcoming event.

Reaffirm Da Nang as Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination
At a press conference on Saturday it was announced that co-organised by the Informa Routes Company, the Da Nang People’s Committee and the Duy Anh Trading Joint Stock Company (IPP Travel Retail), the 16th edition of Routes Asia will take place in Da Nang from June 4 - 9.
This year’s event is expected to attract around 500 delegates who are representatives of airlines in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America; airports and airport operators; and air service providers and travel agencies from Asia and countries around the world.
Routes Asia 2022 will feature a total 19 major and support activities and events.
Most prominent among them will be an Asian tourism and aviation exhibition which will feature around 50 booths with the participation of 600 representatives from 110 international airlines, 200 airports, and 30 travel firms. Of which, 60% of the participants will come from Asia, whilst the remaining 40% will be from Europe, North America, the Middle East and others.
In addition, there will be over 500 meetings between airlines, airports and tourism authorities from across the Asia Pacific region using On-site Meeting System or through the Routes event app; as well as a series of conferences and workshops on ways to drive post-pandemic aviation recovery in Asia and develop aviation services in the new normal.
The forthcoming forum is a great opportunity for the recovery and development of the city's aviation and tourism industry, helping attract more investment and international tourists to the central coastal city, said Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the municipal Department of Tourism.
By hosting the event, Da Nang continues to affirm its position as one of the leading festival and event destinations in Asia, as well as a dynamic aviation and tourism hub in Viet Nam and the region, she underlined.
Mr. Thomas Atkinson, Senior Manager of Business Development at the Informa Routes Company, headquartered in Manchester, the UK, highlighted the significance of the forthcoming Routes Asia in restoring and rebuilding air services around the world.
“Da Nang has the great potential for becoming an integral part of global manufacturing and supply chains, as well as an economic, innovation, transport, financial and cultural hub over the next decade. We look forward to working with the experienced team in Da Nang to deliver outstanding events that will benefit the entire region in the long run” noted Mr. Thomas Atkinson.
