Routes Asia 2022: Good opportunity for Da Nang to promote tourism images
In his remarks at the reception on Saturday for a group of representatives from the Informa Routes Company - the organiser of the Routes Asia 2022, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Phuoc Son expressed hiss hope that the event would be held successfully in Da Nang, thereby contributing to opening up a big opportunity for the city to promote its images to foreign countries around the world as well as to boost cooperative ties with aviation businesses globally in the coming time.

Vice Chairman Son hoped that the soon-to-be-organised event will help Da Nang discuss air route development opportunities with many airlines, airports and tourism agencies in the region and around the world.
“To prepare for this big event, the city has set up an organising board consisting of representatives of relevant departments and agencies” added he.
Mr. Son took the opportunity to ask for support from the Informa Routes Company support to conduct marketing campaigns, aimed at enhancing the reputation and attractiveness of the international event and Da Nang-hosted support events as well.
In reply, representatives from the Informa Routes Company said they would like the city authorities to create very favourable conditions for the company in terms of travel, accommodation and security during their stay in Da Nang in preparation for the forthcoming event.
Also on the same day, the Da Nang Department of Tourism held a press conference to announce the Routes Asia 2022 in Da Nang with many exciting programmes and activities connecting the air transport industry and the only flight network in Asia-Pacific.
Co-organised by the Informa Routes Company, the Da Nang People’s Committee and the Duy Anh Trading Joint Stock Company (IPP Travel Retail), the 16th edition of Routes Asia will take place in Da Nang from June 4 - 9.
This year’s event is expected to attract around 500 delegates who are representatives of airlines in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America; airports and airport operators; and air service providers and travel agencies from Asia and countries around the world.
Routes Asia 2022 will feature a total 19 major and support activities and events.
Of this, the Informa Routes Company will organise such activities as an Asian tourism and aviation exhibition which will feature 30-35 booths from 110 international airlines, 200 airports, and 30 travel agencies; meetings between airlines, airports and tourism authorities from across the Asia Pacific region using On-site Meeting System or through the Routes event app; a conference on aviation recovery in Asia; and a workshop on ways to develop aviation services in the new normal.
Mr. Thomas Atkinson, Senior Manager of Business Development at the Informa Routes Company, headquartered in Manchester, the UK, highlighted the significance of the forthcoming Routes Asia in restoring and rebuilding air services around the world.

We look forward to working with the experienced team in Da Nang to deliver outstanding events that will benefit the entire region in the long run” noted Mr. Thomas Atkinson.
Routes Asia is the city's first international event in 2022, so the city has mobilised the participation and coordination of relevant departments, agencies and sectors; and the companion of large corporations, tourism enterprises, airlines, and domestic and international aviation management units, in a bid to ensure the success of this event.
