The Da Nang People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the project ‘Management and operation of Software Park No. 2 (Phase 1)’.

Accordingly, as instructed by the municipal administration, the Department of Information and Communications will be the lead agency and coordinate with other relevant agencies and units to organise the implementation of the project.

Regarding the management and operation personnel, it is necessary to inherit the experience and the capacity requirements of each job position of the staff of the Da Nang Information Technology Infrastructure Development Centre who are operating and exploiting the Software Park No.1.

The specific goal of the aforementioned plan for the management and operation plan of the Software Park No. 2 is to create an international standard working environment, attract high-quality employees and contribute to improving the competitiveness of information technology enterprises in the city.

Da Nang government-funded 800 billion VND Da Nang Software Park No 2 project, which facades onto Nhu Nguyet Street, Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District, is also progressing well.

The project will comprise office buildings covering a with a total gross internal floor area of more than 71,000m².

Also related to the field of information technology, on April 20, 2022, the municipal government has approved the ‘List of programmes and projects for information technology application and development in the city in 2022” with a total budget of VND35 billion.

The municipal Department of Information and Communications shall task itself with coordinating with relevant agencies to organise the implementation of the projects as well as allocate the cost estimates for the investors to deploy them according to the approved list.
