More passenger trains to be added in May
The Ha Noi Railway Transport JSC announced on May 9 that it will run extra passenger trains in May on the Ha Noi - Dong Hoi, Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang routes in a bid to meet the increasing travel demands of tourists.
Specifically, the Ha Noi - Dong Hoi route will be served by additional passenger trains: SE17, QB1 and QB2 in addition to the normal operation of four pairs of Thong Nhat passenger trains.
Accordingly, SE17 passenger train will depart from Ha Noi at 8:20 pm on May 19 and arrive in Dong Hoi at 6:49am. QB1 will depart from Ha Noi at 7:55pm on May 26 and arrive in Dong Hoi at 6:22 am.
Meanwhile, QB2 will pick up passengers at the Dong Hoi Railway Station at 4:50pm on May 22 and 29, then will drop off passengers at the Ha Noi Railway Station at 4:35am.
In the Southern Viet Nam, the railway sector will operate two more SE21/SE22 trains between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang starting from May 10.
An extra pair of SQN1/SQN2 passenger trains will be arranged on the Ho Chi Minh City - Quy Nhon route on weekends starting from May 19.
Also starting from May 19, there will have one more pair of SNT1/SNT2 trains running on the Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang route. SNT2 will depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 7:40pm and arrive in Nha Trang at 5:25am, whilst SNT1 will pick up passengers at the Nha Trang Railway Station at 9:40pm and drop off passengers at the Saigon Railway Station at 5:06am.
