In his remarks at a Thursday working session to review the preparatory works for Routes Asia 2022, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son suggested the Duy Anh Trading Joint Stock Company (IPP Travel Retail) promote sponsorship work for the event.

Vice Chairman Son asked for support from the company to open more flights to Da Nang in order to transport delegates.

He also urged the company to have official information about sponsors and have a written commitment to carry out activities within the framework of Routes Asia 2022 to the municipal People's Committee.

Basically, relevant agencies are on track to prepare for the international event according to the issued plan. In particular, the municipal Department of Tourism and relevant departments and agencies are responsible for reviewing the preparatory works and ensuring the event schedules.

Vice Chairman Son highlighted the significance of the forthcoming Routes Asia in restoring and rebuilding air services around the world.

Routes Asia 2022 will feature a total 19 major and support activities and events. Of this, the Informa Routes Company will organise three main activities, whilst the municipal Department of Tourism will be in charge of 11 activities.

Most prominent among them will be an Asian tourism and aviation exhibition which will feature around 50 booths with the participation of 600 representatives from 110 international airlines, 200 airports, and 30 travel firms. Of which, 60% of the participants will come from Asia, whilst the remaining 40% will be from Europe, North America, the Middle East and others.

It is expected that there will be more than 1,000 meetings between airlines, airports and tourism authorities from across the Asia Pacific region using On-site Meeting System or through the Routes event app. Each unit has a maximum of 12 meetings with its partners that have been scheduled on the system of Routes Asia Forum.

Da Nang will have 12 meetings booked in advance on the system and to take place at the B2B connection space of the Da Nang International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The city leaders will have private meetings and working sessions with 3-5 major investors at the municipal Administrative Centre.

According to the Informa Routes Company, as of May 5, 2022, more than 400 delegates from 155 organizations and units had registered to attend Routes Asia 2022. The registration deadline for attendees is May 16. The Informa Routes Company has updated the map of 43 booths with an area of 5m x 5m each.
