Most Da Nang industrial and service indexes up
According to the Da Nang Statistics Department, most of the important indicators and indicators on industry, services, import and export in the city in the first 4 months of this year recorded growth.
Specifically, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 2.65% over the same period in 2021, of which a number of sectors made breakthroughs, contributing to restoring the development of the whole industry such as processing, manufacturing up 25.6%; repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment up 20.1%; production of leather and related products up 15.7%; the production of rubber and plastic products up 8.9%; products from prefabricated metal up 8.4%.
The total revenue of the whole transportation industry, postage and delivery reached more than VND6,860 billion, up 7.9% over the same period.
In particular, road and rail transport reached VND 2,518 billion, up 4.3%; waterway VND 27.3 billion, up 5.8%; airways VND 1,444 billion, up 19.1%; warehousing and transportation support activities VND 2,523 billion, up 5.7% over the same period in 2021.
The total import and export turnover of goods over the past 4 months reached US$1.08 billion, up 13.4% as compared to the same period in 2021. In particular, export turnover reached US$653.5 million, up 24.6% whilst import turnover hit US$ 426.3 million, down 0.3% from the year-ago period.
Merchandise trade balance in the 4-month period continued to maintain a trade surplus of US$227.2 million.
According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, in April 2022, the number of newly established enterprises continued to record a rise.
From March 15 to April 15, the city has granted new registration certificates to 523 businesses, branches and representative offices with a total registered charter capital of more than VND 2,310 billion.
Generally for the first 4 months of 2022, the city has granted new business registration certificates to 1,377 enterprises, branches and representative offices, with a total registered charter capital of VND8,836 billion, up 3.8% and 2.7% in the number of enterprises and the amount of registered capital respectively over the same period in 2021.
