Petrol and diesel prices reach new record high
Retail gasoline prices in Viet Nam climbed to a new peak on Wednesday afternoon and hit another all-time record following the latest adjustment by the Inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance.
Specifically, the retail price of E5 gasoline rose by VND1,490/liter to VND28,950/liter, while that of RON95 gasoline was adjusted up by VND1,550/liter to a maximum of VND29,980/liter.
Diesel oil is currently being sold at the price of VND26,650 /liter, up VND1,120/liter.
At this adjustment, the Inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance did not make use of the fuel price stabilisation fund for gasoline E5 and RON95, and diesel oil, (except for kerosene at the rate of VND300/liter and Mazut fuel oil at VND33/kg).
At the same time, a fund to stabilise petrol and oil prices was set up at the rate of VND100/liter for E5 and RON95 gasoline, and diesel oil.
