As noted by our reporter from April 30 - May 2, such popular supermarkets as Co.opmart Da Nang, Lotte Mart, and GO! saw a dramatic increase in visitor numbers. The purchasing power in the past few days was very good, even equivalent to the time before COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the number of visitors to the wet Han Market, which is promoted as a "tourist market" in the city’s tourism stimulus programme, skyrocketed from April 30 to May 2. ‘Muc rim’ (simmered squid), ‘ca rim’ (simmered fish), 'bo kho' (chipped beef), ‘banh kho me’ (dried sesame seed cakes), ‘cha bo’ (beef paste), and ‘banh dau xanh’ (cakes made of green beans) were among best-selling products.

Head of the Management Board of the Con Market Nguyen Dac Hung said that during the April 30 and May 1 holiday, the wet Con Market welcomed a daily average of about 6,000 visitors.

On May 2 alone, estimated tens of thousands of people visited the market, so the purchasing power sharply increased.

In addition, food and beverage stalls, and milk tea shops were also crowded with people during the holiday.
