The Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company will implement many policies on exemption and reduction of train ticket prices for some eligible groups of passengers during the peak summer travel season running from June 1 to August 21, 2022.

Accordingly, revolutionary activists before the historic August 1945 Revolution and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers will enjoy a 90% discount on train fares.

Wounded soldiers and social policy beneficiaries such as war invalids and resistance activists were contaminated with toxic chemicals, people with extremely severe disabilities will be eligible for a 30% reduction.

Elderly people who are Vietnamese citizens who are full 60 years of age or older will be entitled to a 15% discount.

Children aged under 6, accompanied by adults, will receive free-of-charge train rides and each adult is accompanied by 2 children who will be exempt from tickets.

In addition, students of vocational schools, professional secondary schools, students of colleges, universities, and academies (excluding graduates) will receive a 10% down on fares.

Likewise, trade union members of industries, corporations, enterprises, localities, industrial parks, export processing plants, when buying individual tickets, receive a 5% discount, and get a 7% reduction for the purchase of tickets for groups of 10 - 39 people, and a 10% down applied for groups of 40 people or more.
