The above-mentioned rate accounts for 60 - 96% in Viet Nam-based foreign supermarkets, and 60% or more at such traditional retail channels as markets and convenience stores.
Meanwhile, a recent study by Nielsen, a global leader in audience measurement, data and analytics, shaping the future of media, shows that, after COVID-19, 76% of the Vietnamese consumers have prefered domestic products to foreign ones, especially those with prestigious brands and good quality for the sake of human health.
For the rest of 2022, with the assigned responsibility, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to focus on implementing the ‘Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods’ campaign, review the business support policies adopted by ministries and agencies, strengthen the efficiency of market inspection and control activities, strictly handle acts of commercial frauds, the trade in fake and poor-quality goods.
