The Da Nang Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects has already announced a contractor selection plan for 3 consulting bidding packages of the Western Ring Road No.2 project.
In detail, the above-mentioned 3 packages are ‘21-OFID.DDCN’ on making designs and cost estimates for the relocation of the current water supply pipeline system, ‘22-OFID.DDNH’ on making designs and estimating the cost for the putting of the existing telecommunications infrastructure underground, and ‘23-OFID.DDCX’ on designing and estimating the cost of tree relocation.
The Western Ring Road No.2, with a length of 14.3 km passing through Hoa Vang, Lien Chieu and Cam Le districts, belongs to a large-scale Da Nang Transport Infrastructure Improvement Project.
The transport project is getting underway from 2020 - 2022 with a total investment capital of over US$ 61.37 million, of which US$ 45 million is loaned by OFID- the OPEC Fund for International Development whilst about US$ 16.37 million comes from Viet Nam’s reciprocal capital allocated through the Da Nang budget.
This project aims to boost access to employment opportunities and social amenities, ultimately supporting socioeconomic development and benefiting over one million people directly.
