The Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Viet Nam Urban Energy Security Project in Da Nang to organise the ‘Efficient and efficient use of energy in Da Nang- 2022’ award.

In detail, the first prize was awarded to the Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company (DRC), second prizes went to the Heineken Viet Nam - Da Nang Brewery Co., Ltd and Mabuchi Motor Da Nang Co., Ltd, third prizes were presented to the Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Corporation, Da Nang Steel Joint Stock Company, the Da Nang Dairy Factory of the Viet Nam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company.

Previously, on March 23, the launching ceremony of the ‘Effective and economical use of energy in Da Nang – 2022’ award attracted the attention of the business community and 16 key enterprises using energy signed up to participate in the award.

Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Thi Thuy Mai said that Da Nang is the first locality in Viet Nam to implement the Viet Nam urban energy security project, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the plans on ensuring the economical and efficient use of energy in the city in the 2020 - 2030 period.

That enterprises are promoting investment in renewable energy and taking advanced and efficient energy use solutions will enhance the city's competitiveness, attract green investment and directly benefit the people with a cleaner living environment. In addition, these solutions will also contribute to mitigating the long-term impacts of climate change on the city and its people.
