Towards the goal of sustainable development, over recent years, the DHPIZA has implemented many effective solutions such as innovation in technology, processes, and production equipment at industrial production facilities, increasing the installation and operation of waste treatment systems, limiting their impacts on the environment. In addition, investors and businesses operating in industrial parks (IPs) shall comply with the provisions of the law on green-covered areas.
Deputy Head of the DHPIZA Tran Van Ty said that most of the IPs operating in the city have strictly implemented the reserve of land for the tree system, water surface and internal roads.
Many infrastructure developers and businesses in the IPs have invested in a fairly methodical and synchronous tree system, creating ecological landscapes, creating a ‘green wall’ to reduce emissions, dust and noise emitted from production. Trees are planted along the roads and are carefully selected to suit the climate and soil conditions.
At the beginning of 2022, in response to the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival, 600 trees were planted in workers' housing areas, bare dirt trails, along internal roads No. 1 and No. 15 inthe Hoa Cam IP.
In the time to come, the DHPIZA will cooperate with GreenViet centre to plant trees at enterprises in local IPs, in tandem with strengthening supervision of units that are in charge of maintaining the tree system.
Mr. Tran Van Ty said that the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and local IPs need to move towards ecological industrial parks. Not only does the construction of a green - clean - beautiful industrial park protect the environment but it is also an attractive condition attracting potential investors who intends to do business there.
Mr. Nguyen Van Linh, coordinator of the GreenViet center-initiated ‘One Million Trees in Cities’ (MTIC) project, said that the development of green-covered areas in the da Nang Hi-Tech Park and IPs plays an important role in protecting the natural environment and improve living space.
There is no denying that trees significantly help improve the climate, prevent harmful gases from factories, garbage discharged by people, thereby helping to reduce heat.
Implementing the provisions of the law on the environment and responding to environmental protection, many businesses have paid attention to planting even more trees in their factory premises.
At the same time, heed has been paid to actively participating in planting trees and grass to contribute to ensuring effective landscape and environmental protection.
At the Asia Architecture and Trading Co., Ltd based in the Hoa Khanh IP, many trees are planted around the factory premises. Inside, many flower beds and ornamental plants are also arranged beautifully. Ms. Le Thi Hoang, Head of Occupational Safety of this company shared that the Board of Directors has invested in developing a system of trees in the factory.
In a similar vein, at the Daiwa Viet Nam Co., Ltd., Director Nguyen Van Phu said that “Our company is very concerned about CO2 emissions, so we always find highly-effective ways to reduce CO2 by developing green areas in our business campuses. Over the past time, in addition to maintaining the tree system on the existing sites, the development of trees on new areas has also been give a focus.
