Hoa Xuan Sports and Physical Training Complex shows innovations in urban space design
Subdivision design and planning for the Hoa Xuan Sports and Physical Training Complex shows innovations in urban space design in accordance to the Prime Minister- approved adjustments to the Da Nang Master Plan for its major developments to 2030, with a vision to 2045 in line with the municipal Council People- issued Resolution No. 28 dated June 14, 2022.

Following approval by the Da Nang government on April 19, 2022 on planning for the Hoa Xuan Sports and Physical Training Complex, the new development will border the Residential Area in the south of the Cam Le Bridge to the North, the Hoa Xuan Wastewater Treatment Plant to the South, the Residential Area in the south of Cam Le Bridge to the West, and the Cai River to the East.
Planning for the Hoa Xuan Sports and Physical Training Complex with modern design will sit over a total area of 129.5 ha. The complex will be designed for physical training and sport events at national and regional levels in a bid to promote the development of physical training, sports, culture and tourism in combination with using urban public services.
The operating model of the Hoa Xuan Sports and Physical Training Complex is the combination use of of all its facilities. Apart from facilities with separate functions used for sports events, there are also a number of works and commercial services that will be used in common. The core of landscape architecture is to design traffic infrastructure and landscape for such community activities as walking and street parades. The complex will connect directly with the Minh Mang route to reach the beach in the east of the city. The main traffic axis is around 1.4km long and 33m wide. The traffic axis to the east of the complex is 1.3km long and 30.5m wide.
The development of the Hoa Xuan Sports and Physical Training Complex into a sports, entertainment and commercial one aims to organise exciting sports events and offer diverse sporting events ranging from e-sports to car and animal races, as well as provide accommodation services for athletes and other commercial services for sports fans and tourists. The land earmarked for Sports and Physical Training Center will cover an area of 76.34ha, urban public services with 10.18ha, offices of management agencies with 13.66ha, green trees with 5.9ha, and traffic infrastructure with 23.46ha.
The Hoa Xuan Sports and Physical Training Complex will feature an international-standard 40,000-seat stadium covering an area of 17.04ha and a 20,000-seat football field and training ground with a total area of 15.47ha. The athletes’s training center will sit over an area of 6.76ha and it will border Tran Nam Trung and Duong Loan streets to northwest of the complex. This center will be designed to serve 1,455 athletes and experts under the "Development of high-performance sports in Da Nang’ project in the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2045.
Furthertmore, the new development will feature clusters of tennis courts with an area of 4.5ha, hotels with an area of 2.62ha, racecourses with an area of 1.99ha. In addition, there are other items such as traffic infrastructure, cultural villages, commercial services, and offices of management agencies. Land earmaked for the International Trade Centre will cover an area of 10.18ha, and the centre will border Tran Nam Trung Street to the southwest of the complex. The centre will be designed to serve 4,000 shoppers.
