The Da Nang Department of Tourism has recently hosted a programme in Seoul, South Korea to introduce the city’s post-COVID-19 tourism image with a series of highly attractive tourism products and events, especially M.I.C.E. (Meetings-Incentives-Conferences-Exhibitions) and golf tourism.

Also, the event created opportunities for tourism businesses in Da Nang and Central Viet Nam at large, to get information about market trends and connect with their South Korean partners.

It is known that, upon the resumption of international routes from March 2022, there have so far been 9 airlines operating direct flights linking Da Nang with major South Korean cities, including Incheon, Busan, Daegu and Muan with a frequency of 76 trips/week and bringing an estimated 53,660 passengers from this Northeast Asian country.

Within the framework of the event was a B2B (Business to Business) working session between 14 tourism businesses from Central Viet Nam, including Da Nang, and nearly 50 major travel agencies from South Korea.

Mr. Kim Sug Hun, a representative of Hana Tour attending the B2B event assessed that the South Korean tourism industry always views Da Nang a very important market and a destination with great potential in the future.

According to him, before COVID-19, Viet Nam took the lead in Southeast Asia in welcoming the highest number of South Korean tourists with more than 4.3 million, more than half of whom visited Da Nang.
