The Vietnam Railway Corporation (VNR) has announced the resumption of North - South passenger train services from Wednesday night, September 28 after typhoon Noru caused significant damage to rail infrastructure in affected localities.

Noru made landfall in the parts from Da Nang to Quang Nam early Wednesday morning, bringing powerful winds and heavy rain to some central localities. As a result, railway infrastructure in affected localities were affected by the storm, and this caused disruption to train traffic.
