Post-storm power supply resumes for over 1.25 million customers in Central Viet Nam- Central Highlands
As reported by the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC), by the end of Wednesday afternoon, power supply had been restored for more than 1.25 million customers, accounting for a total of 66.8% of the people who faced power outages caused by storm Noru in the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands.

Specifically, the power companies of Dak Nong, Dak Lak and Phu Yen have restored 100% of electricity supply to their customers.
Currently, relevant agencies are handling over 6,000 damaged substations in the regions to resume power supply to more than 600,000 customers, accounting for 12.6% of the total.
Mr. Ngo Tan Cu, General Director of EVNCPC, said that typhoon Noru affected the power grids of many provinces and cities in the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands, especially in Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai.
Encouragingly, thanks to the careful preparation before the storm in terms of technical management and clearing of the route corridor, as compared to previous storms, the impact on the power grid was still lighter. The power grid was most affected in the two provinces of Quang Nam and Quang Ngai.
From early Wednesday morning, EVNCPC mobilised less affected units to join forces to support Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Da Nang power companies. Electricity supply is expected to resume in some remote and isolated areas in the next few days.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Da Nang Power Company Limited (Da Nang PC) mobilised more than 400 workers to urgently overcome problems caused by storms. The total number of customers who lost power due to the impact of storm Noru, including incidental power failure and laying off the power grid to ensure safety was about 270,000, and about 246,000 of them accessed electricity restoration as of early Wednesday afternoon.
Currently, Da Nang PC is racing against time to ensure all power loads will have been restored basically no later than 5:00 pm on Thursday.
