Vietnam Airlines cancels its flights in five more airports due to typhoon Noru
Vietnam Airlines announced on Tuesday the suspension of its flights in five more airports in addition to those in Hue, Da Nang, Chu Lai, Quy Nhon and Pleiku as Noru is approaching the Mid-central region with hurricane-force winds that prompted the local authorities to order evacuations and airlines to cancel flights.

Severe weather warning is in effect Tuesday until Wednesday over the Mid-central region, according to the National Weather Service.
Travel disruptions will last into part of Wednesday. Vietnam Airlines said Tuesday that it will suspend operations at Lien Khuong Airport in Lam Dong Province from 4:00pm on Tuesday to 3:59pm on Wednesday, Dong Hoi Airport in Quang Binh Province from 8:00pm on Tuesday to 2:00pm on Wednesday, Vinh Airport in Nghe An Province from 3:00 am to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, Tuy Hoa Airport in Phu Yen Province from 3:30pm on Tuesday to 8:00am on Wednesday, Buon Ma Thuot Airport in Dak Lak Province from the midday of Tuesday to 11:59am on Wednesday.
Vietnam Airlines said it cancelled 148 domestic flights and 2 international flights, affecting nearly 14,000 passengers due to weather disruptions caused by the approaching storm.
