The Da Nang People's Committee has been one of the 7 units to be honoured in the category of ‘State Agency with Excellent Digital Transformation’ with the Da Nang Digital Citizen app at the Viet Nam Digital Awards (VDA) ceremony taking place in the capital city of Ha Noi.

At this year’s awards, the organisers received more than 300 entries from agencies, organisations, business communities and individuals nationwide. Many entries of outstanding quality, featuring many new technologies AI, bigdata, IOT, blockchain and cloud computing in the fields of healthcare, education, banking, insurance, construction, energy and logistics.

After 4 years of organisation, the Viet Nam Digital Transformation Awards event  has attracted more than 10,000 agencies and businesses in 63 Vietnamese provinces and cities attracted about 1,000 entries; honoring 260 typical digital transformation initiatives and excellent digital transformation agencies and organisations.

The new feature of this year's award is the category ‘Foreign products, services and solutions’. In addition, the award still maintains 4 categories that have been voted and awarded in previous years, namely typical digital technology products, services and solutions; excellent digital transformation enterprises and units; State agency with excellent digital transformation; digital transformation products and solutions for the community.

It is known that the Da Nang Digital Citizen platform carries missions for collecting, storing and providing digital citizen records (administrative information, digital data, transactions associated with a unique identifier) and each citizen has a unique QR code.

This platform integrates digital services offered by governments and businesses for people to use easily and conveniently, as well as manage their own digital information and data.

Currently, the platform has more than 240,000 accounts and profiles of people.

The formation of the Digital Citizen platform is one of the solutions to promote people's participation in the formation of a digital society, especially in interacting  with one another and using digital transformation solutions provided by State agencies.

This is the third year in a row that Da Nang has been honoured in the category of ‘State agency with xcellent digital transformation’. Previously, Da Nang was honored with the Da Nang Open Data Service Gateway and the Da Nang Shared Data Warehouse products in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
