Da Nang joins Central Appraisal Council for Fishing Port Planning

Da Nang is one of five centrally-governed provinces and cities to participate in the Central Appraisal Council for Fishing Port and Storm Shelter Planning during the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

Under the Decision No. 1150/QD-TTg dated September 30, 2022 on the establishment of an appraisal council for planning fishing ports and storm shelters for fishing vessels in the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, council members are leading representatives of the ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development; Planing and Investment; Finance; Natural Resources and Environment; Science and technology; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Information and Communications; Transportation; Construction; Foreign Affairs; Police and National defence; the Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs; the Central Committee of Vietnamese Fatherland Front; and representatives of the People's Committees of five centrally-governed provinces and cities namely Hai Phong, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Kien Giang.

In addition, members of the council are leading representatives from the Viet Nam Institute of Fisheries Economics and Planning; the Seafood Research Institute; and the Irrigation Planning Institute.

The permanent body of the council is the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Appraisal Council is responsible for organising the appraisals of the planning of fishing ports and storm shelters for fishing vessels in the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 in accordance with the law on planning.
