Investment policy decision approved for US$ 20 million project in Da Nang Hi-Tech Park
The Authority of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones (DHPIZA) on Tuesday morning handed over a investment policy decision for the ASIA HIGH TECH., JSC.-developed Tissue-Stem Cell Research and Storage Centre project worth US$20 million.

The project covers an area of 1 ha in the Research, Development, Training and Incubation Zone of the Da Nang Hi-tech Park.
The project’s objectives feature the research and storage of stem cells from bone marrow, umbilical cord (stem cell bank); scientific research and technological development in the field of biotechnology in medicine.
Specifically, focus will be placed on stem cell technology in the field of regenerative medicine, including immunotherapy research for the treatment of cancers and cell therapy research for the treatment of various diseases; study fibroblasts (skin cells) for cosmetic purposes; differentiated cell research and tissue engineering; training human resources specialised in cell and molecular biology.
Mr. Pham Truong Son, Head of the DHPIZA highly appreciated the project developer for quickl implementing all investment registration procedures in accordance with regulations and on schedule.
Mr. Son also believes that, with the investor's background of experience and financial capacity, as well as potential technology in the field of cell biology, the project will be put into operation on schedule, and that it will be properly operated, thereby helping create a positive spillover effect on other businesses in the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, as well as to the city’s investment environment as a whole.
On the side of the investor, Mr. Tran Hoai Duc, representative of ASIA HIGH TECH., JSC, the project developer, pledged that the company will urgently implement investment procedures according to the plan and strive to complete the project soon and put it into operation on schedule.
At the same time, ASIA HIGH TECH will set a sight on attracting many domestic and foreign experts in the field of high technology to work for the project as well as implementing training activities to improve professional capacity, contributing to improving scientific research activities in the city.
It is known that the Tissue-Stem Cell Research and Storage Centre is the 26th project to have been developed in the Da Nang Hi-tech Park, bringing the total registered investment capita channeled into the Da Nang Hi-tech Park to VND5,985 billion and USS$607.6 million USD.
Since the beginning of 2022, the DIPIZA has granted investment licences for 17 new projects comprising of 3 FDI ones totalling US$ 65 million and 14 domestic ones worth VND3,190 billion in total.
Up to now, the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, the Dedicated IT Park and industrial parks (IPs) across Da Nang have attracted a combined total of 383 domestic projects worth VND29,330 billion in total and 130 FDI ones with a sum of US$1.9 billion.
