Vietnamese goods fair 2022 opens in Da Nang until Oct. 10

A trade fair on Vietnamese goods officially opened at the Da Nang Exhibition and Convention Centre at 9 Cach Mang Thang Tam on Wednesday.

In his remarks at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that the ‘Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods' campaign received a large response from residents. There has been a positive change in consumer psychology in prioritising locally-made goods.

He also highlighted the importance of the campaign in building the habit of using quality goods with clear origin, aiming to choose domestically produced products of high quality and reasonable prices as well as other the city’s typical products.

This year's fair offers participating businesses the opportunity to introduce their products and change the production and business thinking in a bid to better meet the requirements of the market and consumers.

The fair has a scale of nearly 150 booths of more than 120 units and businesses in Da Nang and from 17 provinces and cities nationwide. On display at the event are agricultural products, handicrafts, garments, leather shoes, fashionable items, food, beverages, pharmaceutical products, and typical products of the region.

Additionally, OCOP, and typical commercial and rural industrial products, are being displayed at the event. There is also a special stand displaying fake and counterfeit goods to help consumers distinguish the difference between them and the authentic ones.

The fair runs until the end of October 10, 2022.
