When checking the project on upgrading rainwater drainage systems in districts of Thanh Khe and Lien Chieu, Chairman Triet underscored the significance of drainage treatment, especially in rainy season, so he asked the contractors to make every effort to complete the project as soon as possible.
In the immediate future, he urged the Department of Construction and the Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects to adjust the project’s design to suit reality and fully calculate the technical parameters, and at the same time to invite independent consultants to survey and re-evaluate. The design adjustments must be promptly submitted to the municipal People's Committee to report back to the municipal People’s Council for consideration and decision soon.
The city leader also stressed the need for the construction units to minimise the impact on residents’ houses, and pay special attention to compensation and clearance work.
In the coming period, it is necessary to have a plan to set up the construction schedule, monitor the progress so as not to prolong it, especially to minimise the arising of investment capital, added Mr. Triet.
As for the North-West Axis Route 1 project (a section stretching from the Hue T-junction overpass to the Da Nang Oncology Hospital and another one from Ho Tung Mau Street to Nguyen An Ninh Street), Chairman Triet emphasised the must-do for the contractors to complete clearance and compensation work in order to ensure the on-schedule construction progress of the project.
At the Khe Can sewer line project (a section from the Chieu Market to the Phuoc Tuong residential area in Cam Le District), Mr. Triet agreed with the proposed reports of the project’s Management Board and decided the deadline for the project on December 31.
According to the Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects, the Khe Can sewer line from the Chieu Market to Phuoc Tuong residential area is 1,318.6m long. Up to now, 1,071m out of the 1,318.6m sewer line have been completed, reaching 81% of the workload. The remaining construction section is 247.6m and it is expected to be completed on December 30, 2022.
