Da Nang outlines key urban development tasks
The Da Nang Party Committee has directed the implementation of key urban development tasks in an active response to the Politburo-adopted resolution on planning, construction, management and sustainable development of urban areas until 2030 vision to 2045.
In detail, Da Nang will set a sight on completing mechanisms and policies to facilitate the process of urbanisation, planning, construction and management of sustainable urban development; improving the quality of urban planning to meet the requirements of urban construction and management and building a sustainable and synchronous urban network system.
Other outstanding tasks include developing housing, a synchronous, modern, integrated urban infrastructure system that adapts to climate change, perfecting urban governance, enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of urban management and urban life quality and ensuring social welfare, security, safety and urban social order.
The Da Nang also eyes a target of developing Da Nang into an eco-urban, modern, smart, international-level city boasting its own identity.
By 2025, the urbanisation rate will reach 85% and 100% of the urban areas have their own master plans setting out their major development strategies. The average green area per urban dweller is expected to reach about 6m2/person whilst the average residential floor area per capita in urban areas will hit at least 28m2.
By 2030, there will be an increase in the proportion of green-covered land to 9m2/person and the average residential floor area per capita in urban areas will climb to 32m2/person.
