Solutions for SMEs' difficulties in accessing loans
Ways to help entrepreneurs in Da Nang access loan capital in order to boost production and business at the end of the year were put in the spotlight at the ‘Entrepreneur Coffee’ programme in November.
Organised by the Da Nang Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises on Saturday morning, the programme saw the attendance of leaders of the city branch of the State Bank of Viet Nam and the municipal Development Investment Fund, along with city-based businesses.
Mr. Pham Bac Binh, Chairman of the municipal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, said that in the "sprint" period of production and business at the end of 2022, the business community are facing many difficulties, including rising raw material prices, production costs and interest rates. Even worse, local businesses find it hard to access loan capital.
Therefore, the programme was an opportunity for businesses to share their difficulties for leaders of the Da Nang branch of the State Bank of Viet Nam, and the city’s Development Investment Fund.
Mr. Vo Minh, Director of the city branch of the State Bank of Viet Nam, said that the State Bank of Viet Nam is directing commercial banks to focus their credit on production and business, as well as report their implementation of the Government-issued Decree No. 31/2022/ND-CP dated May 20, 2022 on interest rate support from the State budget for loans of enterprises, cooperatives, and household businesses.
“The rate of businesses accessing the 2% interest rate support package in 2022 and 2023 is very low. My unit is gathering opinions of commercial banks to find suitable solutions” added Director Minh.
