5 inland waterway passenger transport routes announced

The Da Nang government has announced 5 inland waterway passenger transport routes that aim at promoting the development of passenger transport business under trip contracts and tourist transport business.

Specifically, the Han River - Tran Thi Ly bridge route with the first departure station (within the scope of Nguyen Van Troi Bridge - Thuan Phuoc Bridge) - downstream of Nguyen Van Troi Bridge - upstream of Thuan Phuoc Bridge. Hours of operation on the route start at 7:30 a.m. and end at 11:00 p.m. 

The second route is the Han River - Hon Chao route with the first starting wharf (between Nguyen Van Troi Bridge - Thuan Phuoc Bridge) - Thuan Phuoc bridge - sea mouth – regulated sites- final point . Operating time on the route starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m.

The third is the route from CT15 Inland Wharf on Son Tra Peninsula to Sup island - Nam Beach - Da Beach. The transport distance is no more than 1.8km from the shore. Operating time on the route starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m.

The fourth route is the Han River - Co Co, Cam Le, Tuy Loan and Vinh Dien, Yen and Qua Giang rivers. The route from the wharf on the Han River (between Nguyen Van Troi and Thuan Phuoc bridges) goes to the upper part of the Han River. Operating time on the route starts from 7:30 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m.

The last one is Inland Wharf K20 -Co Co, Cam Le, Tuy Loan, Vinh Dien, Yen and Qua Giang rivers. Operating time on the route starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m.

Particularly, floating restaurants that are vessels, usually large steel barges or hulks, used as restaurants on water closes before 11:00p.m on these above-mentioned routes.

In its efforts to effectively operate the inland waterway routes, the municipal government has asked the municipal Department of Transport, based on its assigned functions and tasks, to guide organizations and individuals involved in inland waterway passenger transport business to ensure means and equipment according to the regulations.
