Retail petrol prices up slightly
The retail prices of petrol and oil went up slightly in the latest adjustment made at 3:00pm on Tuesday by the Inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance.
Specifically, E5 RON 92 and RON 95-III are being offered at the prices of VND21,350/litre and VND22,150/litre, up by VND330 and VND350 respectively.
The price of diesel oil was kept unchanged at VND22,150/litre, whilst that of kerosene rose by VND600 to VND22,760/litre.
In the adjustment, the Inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance also decided to extract VND605 per litre from diesel oil, VND200 per liter from kerosene, and VND100 per kg from mazut for the petrol price stabilisation fund.
Currently, oil prices are still higher than domestic gasoline prices.
Thus, the prices of domestic gasoline products have increased for the second time after 4 consecutive declines.
The adjustment of the retail petrol prices came after a new environment protection tax on gasoline passed by the National Assembly took effect on January 1
In 2022 alone, gasoline prices underwent 34 adjustments with 17 ups, 16 downs and 1 kept unchanged.
