VND 181,130 billion for housing construction in 2021 - 2030

In the 2021 - 2030 period, the total area of residential land for housing construction in Da Nang will reach 2,145 hectares and the total need for investment capital channeled into this segment in the city is about VND 181,130 billion.

By 2025, the city aims to achieve the rate of permanent housing in the whole city reaching more than 70%. The average housing area is 30 m2 of floor/person with a total residential floor area expected to be built over 13 million m2, of which more than 10.22 million m2 of floor is expected to be completed.

By 2030, the rate of permanent housing in the whole city will reach more than 95%, the average housing area of the whole city will reach 32 m2 of floor/person with a total residential floor area predicted to be 12.38 million m2 in the 2026 - 2030 period, of which more than 9.4 million m2 is expected to be completed.

The above-mentioned targets are identified in the municipal administration-made adjustments to the housing development programme in the city in the 2021-2030 period.

The programme must comply with the goals, orientations, tasks and solutions of sustainable urban development according to the National Housing Development Strategy for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision towards 2045 and the actual socio-economic development of the city in each period.

Accordingly, investment projects to build houses and newly -formed urban areas must be planned to be developed in the direction of green, smart housing with digital technology application and climate change adaptation capacity.

Urban and residential areas must be planned and invested in synchronously building technical and social infrastructures. Other plans include the increase of the proportion of houses with average area and reasonable prices in line with the affordability of the majority of people and a focus on renovating and rebuilding in combination with embellishment and urban reconstruction for old apartment buildings, and houses.

Also in the adjusted housing development programme, the city orients to develop various types of housing such as social, commercial, resettlement housing, and the renovation of apartment buildings.
