Drastic solutions after Tet

On February 1 (the 11th day of the first lunar month), the Basic Construction Management Board of Hai Chau District dismantled a number of houses and works surrounding the Chi Lang Stadium that had been handed over by the owners to the Management Board.

Before Tet, following the direction from the Chairman of the Hai Chau District People's Committee, the Management Board installed aesthetic steel fences combined with panels with pictures of the district, and planted some types of trees along the fence, creating an airy and beautiful landscape along Le Duan and Ngo Gia Tu streets.

Head of the Hai Chau District’s Basic Construction Management Board Dang Van Hieu said, currently, 89 out of the 100 households and shops around the Chi Lang Stadium have handed over the premises.

Due to rainy weather and a number of objective reasons before Tet, the demolition work has yet to be completed. Therefore, from early February, the district authorities started the work, he informed.

According to the district authorities, 9 households with residential land records and 2 organisations under the project of a high-rise commercial and service complex at the Chi Lang Stadium have not yet handed over the premises.

The district will focus on encouraging 9 households and 2 organisations to hand over the premises in the first quarter and in the second quarter of this year respectively.
