Da Nang tourism promoted at India-hosted SATTE Fair 2023
The Da Nang Department of Tourism-organised a booth Danang FantastiCity is making its mark from February 9 to 11 at the South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2023 in India.

This is the largest tourism and travel fair in India with a scale of more than 1,400 booths. Participating in the opening event of the Da Nang FantastiCity booth, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Nguyen Thanh Hai congratulated Da Nang tourism for the first time attending the SATTE event.
At the same time, the ambassador praised Da Nang for its efforts in promoting the development of the Indian tourist source market. He, in particular, emphasised the commitment to accompany and support Vietnamese localities and businesses in promoting their tourism.
With the positive response of the business community, Da Nang's tourism booth first appears at such a foreign tourism fair with the aim of enhancing the city’s image and boosting its connections with international economic partners.
Mr. Deepak Rapani, Director of OM Holidays, a member of the Travel Agents Federation Of India (TAFI) assessed that participating in SATTE 2023 is necessary for the Indian travel community to know more about foreign destinations, thereby developing new tourism segments and tours.
It is known that the Danang FantastiCity booth has an area of 36m2, with the participation of tourism businesses in Da Nang and the neighbouring province of Quang Nam. The booth is a space to introduce Da Nang tourism information and is the main venue for partner meetings between Furama Danang Resort, Sunworld, Vinpearl, Hoian Express, Indochina Unique Tourist, Wink Hotels and Vedana Lagoon Resort and Spa.
At the booth, the partners can enjoy Vietnamese coffee, exploring around Da Nang via VR360 virtual reality technology and participate in lucky draws to receive souvenirs, accommodation vouchers, tickets for trips to DaNang’s tourist attractions.
Representatives of the Da Nang Department of Tourism had meetings with representatives of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), the Network of Indian MICE Agents (NIMA), India Golf Tourism Association (IGTA) and traditional partners so as to promote the tourism segments of MICE, wedding tourism, luxury golf tourism and academic tourism.
Currently, there are 3 direct flight routes connecting Da Nang with Indian cities, namely New Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad to Da Nang operated by Vietjet Air from October 18, 2022 with a frequency of 4 flights/week, 3 flights/week and 4 flights/week, respectively.
Since the start of their operation, the total number of Indian flights and arrivals to Da Nang has been 131 with more than 20,000 passengers, reaching 70% of the operating capacity.
It is known that SATTE offers a comprehensive platform to domestic and international buyers and professionals from across the travel, tourism and hospitality industry along with National and State Tourism Boards (NTOs and STOs).
SATTE is recognised as Asia’s Leading travel and tourism exhibition to conduct business, share knowledge, exchange ideas in order to arrive at solution-driven innovations to accelerate the growth of the industry.
