New version of guidebook about digital transformation in tourism industry launched
The Tourism Information Center under the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism has officially launched a new version of the guidebook about digital transformation in the tourism industry themed ‘Consciousness transformation and unification of actions’. The book includes overall solutions and specific steps to boost digital transformation.
The document will serve as a guiding framework for implementing digital transformation in a uniform and synchronous manner in the tourism industry, thereby helping to optimize results, save resources and strengthen linkages in the industry.
The guidebook will provide readers with an overview of the digital transformation-related policy, orientation and overall solutions, as well as a tourism digital transformation ecosystem.
The newly-launched version has specific and detailed instructions for management agencies, destinations, and service providers to apply at their units, and at the same time connect and integrate into digital platforms of the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism.
Some core platforms have been developed such as the Viet Nam Tourism Database, tourism statistical reporting systems from central to grassroots levels, information system for tourism management, the ‘Tourism business and management’ platform which is one of 35 national digital platforms, and the multi-service platform ‘Viet Nam Tourism - Viet Nam Travel’ which supports visitors with convenient services from information search to service booking, online shopping, tour management, and feedback to travel agencies.
