Over VND732 billion to be spent for environmental protection projects in Da Nang
More than VND732 billion from the Da Nang budget will be poured into 13 environmental protection projects.
Specifically, VND8 billion will be allocated to pay for the construction and installation volume for three projects that have been already completed and put into use. They are the upgrading and renovation of the leachate treatment system at the Khanh Son Landfill at stage 2 (VND1 billion); the landscape of the regulating lake in the expanded E2 area and the residential area south of Cam Le Bridge (VND2 billion), and the construction of the wastewater collection pipeline along Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (VND5 billion).
Also, VND664.3 billion will be poured into 9 projects expected to be completed in 2023.
In particular, VND5 billion will be spent for the wastewater collection pipeline along a section of September 2 Street from Phan Thanh Tai to Thang Long streets, VND250 billion for the Hoa Xuan Wastewater Treatment Station at phase 3, VND304.5 billion for a separate wastewater collection system and sewer lines to transfer rainwater to the Han River for the basin from Ho Xuan Huong Street to Da Nang’s border with Quang Nam Province, VND5.4 billion for the garbage transfer station on Le Thanh Nghi Street, VND9.08 billion for the construction of technical infrastructure of the waste treatment plant in Khanh Son Landfill, VND5.35 billion for the garbage transfer station in Son Tra District, VND3 billion for upgrading and renovating a number of items at the Khanh Son landfill, VND 80 billion for improving the water environment in the east of Son Tra District, and VND1.99 billion for two automatic and continuous water environment monitoring systems in the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin.
Besides, VND60 billion will be channeled into a transitional project on building a new centralized wastewater treatment station in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park with a capacity of 5,000m3/day.
During the year, the city will invest VND50 million /each for environmental protection projects. Included will be wastewater collection and treatment systems in resettlement areas in Hoa Son and Hoa Lien Communes (Hoa Vang district) and Hoa Khanh Bac Wards (Lien Chieu District) to the Lien Chieu Wastewater Treatment Station, the wastewater collection system in Cam Le District’s Hoa Xuan area, and the Khanh Son solid waste treatment complex at stage 2, the garbage waste transfer stations in Ngu Hanh Son and Cam Le districts, garbage sorting equipment at source in stage 3, and converting the function of the Hoa An garbage transfer station in Cam Le District into resource garbage collection and storage points to serve the waste classification at source, expanding and raising the capacity of the garbage transfer station on Nguyen Duc Trung Street, upgrading equipment and facilities of existing garbage transit stations, ensuring beauty and environmental sanitation, and installing wastewater collection pipeline along Tran Hung Dao Street.
