The Quang Da Bridge spanning over the Yen River helps to link Da Nang’s Hoa Vang District with neighbouring Quang Nam Province’s Dien Ban Town, thereby helping to boost traffic connection in the region and spur up socio-economic development of the two localities.

The new bridge will start at the intersection of National Highway 14B which runs through Phu Son Nam Village, Hoa Khuong Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang and it will end in Dien Tien Commune, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province.

The project is expected to cost VND 274.78 billion funded by the Da Nang budget (excluding the cost of solving the problem).

The new bridge and its approach roads have a total length of 1,408km, including a distance of over 1,1km running through Da Nang.

In particular, Quang Da Bridge has a length of 205m, a width of 22m, including 4 lanes and the 2m - wide median strip. One road leading to the bridge in Da Nang has a road surface width of 34m, including 4 lanes and a 9m - wide median strip whilst the other belonging to Quang Nam tertiary is about 100m long a 27m wide, including 4 lanes.

Developed by the Management Board of Construction and Investment Projects for Agriculture and Rural Development Works, the project is scheduled to be implemented in the 2022 - 2026 period.

So far, the project’s developer has completed the feasibility study report for the whole Quang Da project. Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh has just signed a document requesting the Quang Nam People's Committee province to comment on this report so as to soon create have a basis for implementing the next implementation steps.

With the construction of the Quang Da Bridge and its approach roads at upstream of the An Trach dam, residents living nearby are highly concerned about the flood drainage of the Yen River as well as the sanitary protection of the area where the raw water is taken from An Trach anti-salinity pumping station for tap water production.

According to the project’s developer, prior to approving the project investment policy, the Da Nang People's Council has noted the calculation of reasonable drainage treatment, preventing local flooding in the area where the bridge and its approach roads pass. Also, solutions were taken to make the full use of the existing irrigation ditch system to ensure irrigation and save investment costs.

Previously, the Management Board of Construction and Investment Projects for Agriculture and Rural Development Works had been assigned to build traffic routes connecting Da Nang with Quang Nam Province such as DT.605 road, Quang Nam road and Cam Ly Bridge.

The project of Quang Da Bridge and its approach roads is an important project. Once completed, it will connect with the northern ring road of Quang Nam Province, connecting traffic between Hoa Vang District and Dien Ban Town of Quang Nam Province via National Highway 14B, southern ring road of Da Nang, DT 609 Quang Nam road and National highway 1A.

The project is expected to complete the regional transport network, strengthen cooperation, and promote socio-economic development of the two localities.
