Da Nang has welcomed a large number of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) guests, the Tourism Promotion Centre under the Da Nang Department of Tourism recently reported. Especially, those from such foreign tourist source markets as India, Indonesia, Malaysia and S.Korea have successively set foot in Da Nang right from the beginning of the lunar new year 2023.

Specifically, right from the beginning of the year, the city welcomed a delegation of 33 guests from India's RF company through tours organised by India of Sannatour Travel on January 17; 81 guests from SK Finance Limited (India) at the Sandy Beach Resort on January 18; 44 guests from Rockman Industries company on January 28; 500 guests from Allybuild Vietnam Company through Vietravel company on February 2.

In particular, the city welcomed a delegation of nearly 500 Indian guests who attended a wedding party during the first days of the Lunar Year of Cat 2023.

According to travel agencies and event organisers, it is expected that, in the coming time, the international MICE traveller arrivals to Da Nang will prosper with more than 350 Malaysian visitors in March 2023, in addition to many other domestic and international groups of visitors.

A representative of Indochina Charmtours Travel company who brought international MICE delegations from Malaysia to Da Nang said: “In the future, the company will bring more business delegations to Da Nang which boasts a full range of services, necessary factors to meet the demand for MICE tourism such as modern facilities, reasonable service costs, convenient transportation and especially the advisory, support and welcome policies of the city’s administration”.

It is known that Da Nang adopted a preference policy to support delegations of MICE visitors in 2023. In detail, domestic and international delegations of MICE travellers coming to Da Nang are welcomed at the airport with the check-in model of MICE Da Nang, welcome banners, flowers for the leader of the delegation and gifts of Da Nang specialities for the delegation’s members.

In particular, in order to promote promotion to Da Nang’s international MICE tourist source market, this year, the city focuses on many supportive policies for international delegations such as promoting welcome information on LED screens at the baggage claim counter area at the airport’s terminals.
