Young people build a career in their hometown in Da Nang's Hoa Vang Rural District
Instead of going to the city to look for job opportunities, many young people in suburban Hoa Vang District, Da Nang, head back to their homeland to start their own business involved in trade, service and tourism, setting bright examples for other young people to follow.

Do tourism associated with local strengths
Le Thanh Dan, residing in Nam Yen Village, Hoa Bac Commune, is in charge of supporting communications activities for the Hoa Bac Commune Community Tourism Cooperative.
With the advantage of being born and raised in Hoa Bac Commune, Dan understands the culture and people here, so he finds it very convenient to raise public awareness about community tourism development to develop sustainable tourism.
Besides, Dan opens the Thanh Dan Coffee Shop, providing a check-in and refreshment venue for locals and tourists and a place to organize chess, jogging and cycling tournaments of internal and external units when Dan joins the organising board.
Dan remarked Hoa Bac Commune has beautiful nature and a cool climate, so it is very suitable for organising cycling and running activities. By joining these healthy sports, participants can challenge themselves to go beyond their comfort zones, and at the same time combine with picnic travel.
As for community tourism projects, the young man often supports university lecturers and experts during consulting and training activities for locals.
Despite being born into a farming family, Dan works for the tourism sector after graduating from a local senior high school and completing his military service.
Sharing about the opportunity to work for the tourism sector, Dan said he loved doing tourism-related jobs, so he made his own fanpage "Hoa Bac Tourism - Da Nang".
When tourism experts and university lecturers visit his commune to implement community tourism projects for locals, he gets actively involved in supporting them and learning about many things.
“During community tourism projects, locals will be able to sell better agricultural products and they will be less worried about the output of the products. They are happy to sell at a good price and aim for clean production to protect the environment, and ensure food hygiene and safety. Thereby, it not only helps people know how to do tourism, and restore and preserve the cultural values, beliefs, and craft villages of the locality, but also develop additional accompanying services, towards sustainable tourism” Le Thanh Dan emphasised.
Sharing the same idea as Dan, Dinh Van Khoa from Nam Yen Village, Hoa Bac Commune also succeeds with a beverage business model when taking advantage of beautiful and peaceful mountain views in his own locality.
Khoa came up with an idea of opening the Lua Coffee House as he noticed that many young people in the city tend to like to return to nature. Meanwhile, Hoa Bac Commune has many poetic paddy fields located on green hills, very suitable for developing this type of tourism.
Since its opening, the Lua Coffee House has attracted many visitors to check-in and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Not only having nutritious drinks, Khoa’s café is famous for grilled chicken which are prepared from clean food sources of locals.
As a result, visitors are very excited when they can both sip coffee and enjoy grilled chicken in the atmosphere of the countryside in the middle of the poetic mountainous area. This is also a way to promote the tourism image of Hoa Bac Commune to tourists inside and outside the city.
Make a career in hometown
Unlike Dan, Nguyen Tan Liem residing in Duong Lam 2 Village, Hoa Phong Commune, makes a decision to open a garment printing factory in the locality.
He said that he knew about printing as he had the opportunity to work at the Da Nang Lottery One Member Limited Liability Company in the past. After leaving the company, he went to Ho Chi Minh City to learn more printing techniques to improve his skills. Then, he invested in opening a printing factory in his hometown. His printing factory has been operating for more than 7 years.
To meet market demand, Mr. Liem has boldly spent VND170 million buying PET printer - the latest generation digital printer.
“With the support of the commune women's union, I got a loan of VND50 million from the Social Policy Bank and borrowed my friends and relatives to buy a new machine. We receive clothes from factories and garment companies in Da Nang. Especially in the summer, we print T-shirts uniforms for members participating in camping, volunteering, teambuilding and sports activities. Our employees can earn the average monthly income of about VND7-8 million each" said Mr. Liem.
Like Liem, Le Thai Sanh opens a very professional Sblue uniform printing and sewing company in Hoa Son Commune.
Thanks to the dynamism and creativity of its young staff, the company has built a reputation and gained a strong foothold in the market.
Not only offices, restaurants, hotels and schools in Hoa Vang District, many other units across Da Nang are regular customers of Sanh's company.
With the enthusiasm of youth and great efforts, young people like Dan, Khoa, Liem and Sanh are joining hands to contribute to changing the face of Hoa Vang District. They are becoming shining examples for other young people to study and feel more confident when they are determined to set up a business right in their homeland.
