The Da Nang Department of Tourism held a press conference on Friday to announce the tourism stimulus programme themed ‘Enjoy Da Nang’ 2023.

In her remarks at the press conference, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen highlighted that the tourism stimulus programme 2023 will be the first kick-start for a series of attractive events and festivals to affirm the city’s brand as Asia's leading festival and event destination.

She remarked the programme will widely advertise Da Nang on a large scale via many channels, especially through social network sites, in a new way to spread the image of a unique, safe and hospitable city to tourists at both home and abroad.

She highly praised the active involvement of such large-scale corporations as Sungroup, Vingroup, DHC, and tourism seminar providers in the city, as well as the companionship of social networking platforms in bring the programme directly to domestic and international tourist markets.

This year’s tourism stimulus programme will feature themes: enjoy festivals, enjoy the sea, enjoy entertainment, and enjoy food - spa and shopping. It is made with a new form on an updated basis, meeting the needs, tastes and trends of today's tourist markets.

The programme will treat holidaymakers with an array of festive activities and special events, including the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, the Da Nang Beach Tourism Season, the Da Nang Asian Film Festival, the Da Nang Great Festival, the Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival and the Da Nang International Marathon.

Night-time entertainment activities are also planned, such as Dragon Bridge's fire and water shows every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, cruises on the Han River on tourist boats, and night markets to serve tourists.

Cultural and festival activities on both sides of the Han River will include street music and dance shows, Bai Choi singing, performances featuring traditional Vietnamese musical instruments, traditional folk dances, dance competitions, flash mobs, music bands and contemporary dancing.

The city will offer about 10,000 free vouchers at local tourist attractions, 4-5 star hotels and resorts, cruise ships, food service establishments, and high quality spas.

The domestic market stimulus programme will be promoted on domestic channels of Danang FantastiCity and Vietnamese Group!. At the same time, the organisers plan to use platforms such as Kkday and Naver to deploy a stimulus programme directly to key international markets South Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, etc. Malaysia and Thailand.

Moreover, the ‘Happy hour’ programme to offer discounts and promotions at eateries, spa and massage parlors, and shopping outlets will be launched.

Till date, the programme has attracted more than 200 tourism service providers and especially the companionship of related units in implementing the program on domestic and international websites.
