Inland waterway tourism route launched in Da Nang

The CT15 - Hon Sup - Bai Nam - Bai Da inland waterway tourism route was officially launched on Saturday morning.

Invested by the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches, the newly-launched inland waterway tourism route features three working rooms for the management board, the Inland Water Port Authority, and the Son Tra Border Station; one ticket counter; and one information - souvenir counter.

According to the schedule, visitors will depart from the CT15 inland waterway wharf, and then will be taken to admire the city’s landscape viewed from the sea, and experience water sports.

Currently, at the CT15 wharf, 3 canoes are ready to serve passengers. In early May, there will be two yachts and 2 more canoes in service for tourists.

Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches Phan Minh Hai highlighted the significance of the route in adding more tourism products to serve the needs of locals and tourists in the summer.

He added that the operation of the route will be the basis for the formation and construction of specific waterway tourism products, and the connection of tours to the forests and to the sea.

“The management board will work with businesses and tourism service providers to develop more tours to help visitors experience the fresh air of the peninsula, and marine environmental protection activities, in the Son Tra Peninsula" Mr. Phan Minh Hai said.
