Da Nang CPI down 0.2% in April
Da Nang's consumer price index (CPI) in April dropped by 0.2% as compared to the previous month and climbed by 6.08% over the same period in 2022, freshly announced by the Da Nang Statistics Department.

Average CPI in 4 months of 2023 went by 8% over the same period. In the decrease of 0.2% of CPI, there were 6 out of the 11 commodity groups with a decrease in price index; 4 groups of goods with an increase in price index, and the remaining one with stability.
The commodity groups recording a decrease compared to the previous month were culture, entertainment and tourism, down 0.73%; food and catering services 0.49%; housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials 0.38%; appliances and household appliances 0.13%; medicine and medical services 0.06%; post and telecommunications 0.02%.
The groups of goods with a fall in CPI comprised of traffic that plunged down by 0.58%; other goods and services down by 0.46%; drinks 0.42%; apparel, hats and footwear 0.15%.
The education group was stable compared to the previous month. Some prominent reasons for CPI decline in April were favourable weather, high yield, and increased supply, all of which prompted food prices to decrease by 1.32% in comparison to the previous month. Gasoline and oil prices were adjusted down in the month, and besides, the price of construction materials dropped by 1.63% due to a plunge in sand and steel prices from the previous month. Prices of water and electricity decreased by 0.74% and 1.62%, respectively over the previous month.
