During his visit, Vice Chairman Minh sent his best wishes to Vietnamese Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland Nguyen Hoang Long. He also thanked him for introducing investment opportunities into his city.
He, at the same time, said that Da Nang was very interested in expanding opportunities to attract investment and business development in the UK.
He asked for help from the Embassy of Viet Nam in the UK to support Da Nang in introducing and promoting information to UK partners, corporations and business associations. This helps connect capable investors and businesses to cooperate, invest and do business in the city, especially in the establishment of an international financial centre in the locality.
For his part, Ambassador Nguyen Hoang Long expressed his interest and willingness to create more favourable conditions for the two sides to jointly organise activities and events in the near future.
Also on the same day, the Da Nang delegation had a working session with the Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE).

CFTE introduced the potential and strengths in human resource training, Fintech development, a number of Fintech-related projects, and international financial human resource training programmes in France, Hong Kong (China), and Abu Dhabi, to the Da Nang visitors.
CFTE also shared the prospects of financial activities in the digital age, and financial technology-related areas and skills that governments and businesses need to grasp to keep up with the emerging trend.
For his part, Vice Chairman Minh gave an overview of the city’s socio-economic situation, and its living, working and business environment.
The city owns a dynamic growing innovation startup ecosystem, a convenient international transportation system, 28 universities and colleges, and high-class conference and resort complexes.
Mr. Minh shared that the information technology industry was one of the pillars for the city’s development in the coming time. The city is now home to three centralised information technology parks and 7 information technology and software parks which are under construction.

At the same time, Da Nang is aiming to form an international financial centre with one of the three main components being a Fintech technology-financial centre. To support this orientation, the city is expected to spend most of the area in the Software Park No. 2 for the Fintech development.
Both Da Nang and CFTE agreed to promote the implementation of international financial human resource training programmes and form a Fintech centre in the city in the near future.
This is a practical step to contribute towards the construction of an international financial centre in Da Nang in the coming time when the human factor is always very important in the current new context.
CFTE provides educational platforms in Fintech fields, aiming to equip experts with necessary skills to thrive in the financial technology sector. CFTE has a network of more than 300 financial professionals from companies such as Mastercard, UBS, Societe Generale, IBM, Starling Bank, Ripple and N26 with over 100,000 alumni in Europe and Asia.
