Mr. Minh introduced to TheCityUK the city’s advantages and investment potential, as well as a number of key projects in line with the UK's potential and strengths, including the Da Nang International Financial Centre project.

The two sides exchanged, discussed and clarified the model of the international financial centre in Da Nang, TheCityUK's orientation in implementing the regional business and financial centre project in Viet Nam, and the role of Viet Nam’s major economic centres in this project, including Da Nang.

The city leader proposed TheCityUK to support Da Nang to connect with corporations and strategic investors interested in investment and business opportunities in the city, as well as with the world's leading financial institutions to establish economic organisations in the international financial centre in the central coastal city.

Meanwhile, TheCityUK showed interest in related contents and presented their experience in supporting the development of financial centres in such foreign as Dubai and Kazakhstan.

Accordingly, TheCityUK vowed to make every effort to support Da Nang in the coming time.

Established in 2010 by the UK Ministry of Finance and the former Chairman of Citigroup in 2010, TheCityUK represents many different sectors in the financial and related services industries.

The industries represented by TheCityUK are national assets, contributing more than 12% of the UK’s total GDP. In February 2023, the British Government appointed TheCityUK to implement a project to support Viet Nam to realise its vision of developing Ho Chi Minh City into a regional business and financial centre.
